SSR ScissorSafe Removable Safety Anchorage

The SSR ScissorSafe anchorage system is a removable anchorage device for horizontal, vertical and overhead concrete applications and is a part of a personal fall arrest/work restraint system.

The SSR ScissorSafe system consists in 2 main components; The disposable plastic mould component is fixed to formwork system during the construction process and subsequently casted into the concrete structure. The removable anchorage device when fully inserted and locked into the plastic mould by a 10mm karabiner to UNE-362 provide a suitable anchorage point for fall arrest/work restraint purpose. The SSR ScissorSafe removable personal fall arrest anchorage is designed for use as an anchorage attachment of a personal fall arrest/work restraint system.

SSR ScissorSafe is 100% tested according EN 795:1997 (PPE against falls from height - anchor devices: requirements and testing. Class B), and unless otherwise stated it is properly to use for one person with a energy absorber lanyard under EN 355.

SSR ScissorSafe moulds installation

Establish pre-planned positions for the required anchorage points covering main fall risk areas -building perimeter/voids/staircase/lift shafts- one every 5m or one between columns. If it is possible, maintain 1m distance from any fall hazard as safety distance in order to reach the anchorage safely.

1.- Nail the discs onto the inside face of the formwork in its intended position before pouring concrete .

2.- Place the moulds over the discs and press until you hear click.

3.- Pour the concrete and vibrate normally. Respect curing times.

SSR ScissorSafe anchorage system is not intended for use in lightweight concrete, hollow block or any other support material. When installing the mould horizontally onto columns, slabs or wall formwork it is recommended that the mould is wire tied to reinforcement steel to ensure it remains in position throughout the pour.
